  1. Thanks for your replies. Much appreciated
  2. Hi everyone, Has anyone purchased a kit from the manufacturer through their own limited company ? I'm toying with the idea of using the finished car for testing and advertising automotive parts I design and manufacture. Thanks very much
  3. Thanks phaeton, that make sense now.
  4. Thanks very much for your replies and suggestions everyone. As always the government guidelines are pretty ambiguous and I don't trust anything verbally from them. I've now found the government page on vehicle registration which states the V5C must be included with the application... Vehicle registration: Kit-converted vehicles - GOV.UK Form V55/4 must be completed using the guidelines. The form on the government page is just a jpg file which you cannot search. You have to laugh. The guide doesn't mention the donor car as far as I can see. V55X4_290923.jpg Guide to filling in the ‘Application for first vehicle tax and registration of a new motor vehicle’ (V55/4)
  5. Hi All, I've removed the engine and gearbox from my donor car so I can get an age related number plate. I've taken lots of photos and videos as evidence. I don't expect to finish the kit build for several years and I don't want the donor car sat around that long. Will I need the original V5 when registering the kit car ? If I scrap the donor car does the V5 have to be handed over ? Any advice greatly appreciated
  6. Thanks for the suggestions
  7. Hi all, I'm looking for companies who will insure a kit car during the build process and while it is being transported between garages etc. Thanks very much !
