Hi, anyone out there got a cam belt cover for a Pinto, the old man has just changed his existing Rocker to a chrome one, unforthunately the car came without a cam belt cover. Chrome would be nice but that is not important?

I know I may be a little early, but I am already looking towards my winter project, had a great day in Donnington Sat and came back with a head full of ideas. I am looking to cahnge my dash lay-out and install a complete set of clocks and gauges, and I was looking for guidance, so I don't get ripped off, anyone know where I may be able to purchase the clocks & gauges, the usual stuff, Rev,Speedo, Oil,Water, Fuel etc?

I have got a pair of ford sierra rear spax gas adjustable dampers.
These are the best dampers to fit on the rear end of your hood if yuor using the standard sierra setup.
They have got 18 different damper settings and i have used them for 2000miles maximum.
Reason for sale is i have fitted gaz coilovers all round.
Paid £100 for them,
will take £65 and ill cover the cost of postage
Not to sound thick, taking into account I am new to all this. So please be patient. I have a 2B Plus which I did convert the drums to disc and fitted an LSD, I swapped the complete for one from a Sierra 4x4, but never toched the shocks which look pretty standard. I am interested in these if they will help me in any way.
So as far as fitting and performance is concerned; Are they a straight swap and how will they enhance my handling?
I am very interested in these.

hi gordon
thats very much for your input, have you done the conversion yourself? isthere anything else that i will need while i am at the scrapyard?
Thanks
I ended up swapping the complete rear axle from a 4x4 Cosworth with LSD, ( was a very lucky find)pretty simple really a very straight forward swap, shortening the hand-brake was the biggest issue and that was not that bad, check the mods page on the following.
Good luck!

The whole rear end or just the LSD, driveshafts, hubs and complete brakes.
I used a comlete rear end from a Cosworth 4x4 and it went under a treat.

They are sort of rounded allen screws
Thanks for the help, all sorted after picking up the materials I needed at Newark on Sunday.

I used 4mm stainless socket button screws
Not to sound thick but what are button screws?

We have 3mm "LOOK-A-LIKE" carbon on the car riveted at about 1" intervals.
Easier to maintain than stone chipped stainless
Ian J
Ian do these not crack when riveted, I was goingeither Stic-a-flex them or use small allen head stainless bolts?

What you have will give a better ride than Zimmers if you have uprated shocks. Probably even if you don't.
Dan
Thanks Dan,
I'll stick with what I have .

I used 'carbon fibre effect' abs then trimmed it with a small u channel silver trim.
Plenty of carbon fibre sheets ( real or otherwise ) on e-bay.
