Hi Steve ,Ron Bailey , I talked to you at the Stafford show , just gone , about the posssibilities of me joining you on your trips to the Le Mans 24 hr , albeit I would be travelling down in my motorhome towing my rhood , tying up with you guys on the way down and during the race , this is the only way I would want to take my hood to this event , you did say you didnt see this as a problem as I wouldnt want to upset any other member on the trip.So could you please consider me on one of your trips for the future especially in 2012. Agaain thanks for your hospitality at the Staffotd show NoT sure I can make this event a lot on this year, moving house, changing motor home etc, will have to see,put me down as a no at the moment, I would still liike to be there. 3. U R quite right the cam timing was way out, the belt had slipped, made worse by my endeavours to cure the problem by rotating the drive train by means of the cam shaft bolt big mistake, tha crankshaft is the only way to go, lesson learnt. Thank u again.
  4. Is it possible for the timing to be out on a 2ltr pinto, because of a belt slipping and if it is should the timing marks be set to the sierra Haynes manual. Sill trying to start my s7.

    Non Starter

My s7 refuses to fire.Prior to winterizing,in December, the car was running ok, then for no reason refused to fire, did the winterizing, after three months removed covers on the car, still wouldnt start.Did the simple checks, spark, coil ok ,petrol flowing ok,still no go.The carbs are dcoe 40, took the top covers off and there is fuel inside but when the throttle is operated you cant hear the usual spurt of fuel, and when the plugs are taken out they arent covered in petrol, injeced petrol into the plug holes still wouldnt fire ronboyracer. ongoing post
  6. coil type would seem to be fitted with ballast wire, will it be 12 volt?, or 9 volt, spark at plugs poss suspect not strong enough, weak spark white etc thats why i am suspecting the coil, marked as bosch and 12 volts very confusing, multi meter readings seem to be down, could anybody help with the ballast situation is it necessary or not. ronboyracer
  7. CAN ANYBODY HELP WITH A STARTING PROBLEM, MOTHBALLED THE CAR 3 MONTHS AGO, RUN WELL UP TO THEN, AND THEN IT WOULDNT START. AFTER BEING MOTHBALLED OUTSIDE FOR 3 MONTHS , STILL NO JOY, CHECKED THE FUEL SUPPLY AND SPARK, BOTH SEEM OK, THE ONLY INDICATION, WHEN I USE THE STARTING PROCEDURE AND NOTHING HAPPENS, THE PLUGS SHOULD BE WET THROUGH, BUT THEY ARENT.THERE IS A REGULATOR FITTED ON THE FUEL SUPPLY TO TWO 40 DCOE RONBOYRACER
  8. Hi , does anybody know what the charges will be for myself with the motorhome and a robinhood behind on an A frame, camping overnight.Thank you ronboyracer.
