Afternoon all Hope you all had a nice Christmas and a great new year. I rang GBSC yesterday to get an update on my Zero delivery next week and was told due to flooding over Christmas a machine had gone down so they are unable to make some of the components. The chassis is finished but thats it so delivery could be end of the month. I am quite disapointed as I was all set for the big arrival. I`ll keep you updated. Graham

Hi Nick Ta, I think I will rivet top and bottom rails. I`m with you on the "battle ship" look. I am having my chassis powder coated so will I have to key that before bonding? Graham PS Happy New Year

Thanks Nic, I was going to buy the tubes on site for £8, I have noticed on pics of cars that the side panels have no rivets, are they just boneded to the frame? Sorry for the dumb questions. Graham

Thanks for the reply, I had not thought of counter sinking would reduce the strength of the ally. Do you bond all the panels to the chassis?

Morning all. I`m going to start to buy some tools this week for the upcoming arrival of my Zero. Do I buy normal 3.2 rivets or counter sunk ones for a better finish? Graham

I got Race car in born for crimbo, it`s a good watch for a few hours but I`m pleased I bought a Zero. What’s the point in building a car when the chassis comes almost pre built and that body. My Tamiya GTR`s body is of better quality. ( I know the westie is fibre glass and the gtr is plastic). .

Just remembered, I aslo got Mark Evens "A Racing Car is Born" I know it`s a Westfield but there are some good tips.

Santa got me a Angling book, Tamiya Nissan GTR model kit, a fantastic tool kit for my up coming Zero arrival and...oh socks. Just got back from "Model Zone" and the paint for the GTR had cost me £25!!!!

Hi everyone Just wanted to say hi and say that I am a proud owner of a Zetec Zero kit, although I have to wait 5 weeks. I`m 39 and feel about 5!!! Regards Graham
