  • Welcome to RHOCaR - The UK Kit Car Club

The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year.
The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.

It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.

The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.

The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !

So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

Festival of classics Helmingham Hall Stowmarket Suffolk 3rd August

5,000 people attended the 2007 festival. The event attracts classic and sports car owners who

exhibit their cars some of which parade up and down the main drive on the two concourse runs

throughout the day. The Festival is also a super day out for families and individuals who come

for an entertaining day out. Over 500 vehicles present last year.

I won’t be attending this year, but may I suggest those going meet up at Stonham barns and leave there at 09.00. This way

You will be parked together as a group. Let me know if you need a map to find Stonham barns.

If you didnt apply for a ticket you can still get in, for £7.

Mike has kindly agreed to take the gazebo and banner for us.

Could someone get a list of those that attend from this club and some pictures please

    Thank you Martin.

    Ps enjoy the show.

The Northern Goodwood festival of speed?

    Hi All,

Whilst out and about last week, i came across a leaflet for a show in Cheshire at Cholmondeley Castle,

It looks like the Northern version of the Goodwood Festival of speed, (with Prices to match).

Looking at the cars on the brochure i thought we would have no chance of getting in, as there all racing cars and supercars both vintage and modern.

also power boat racing and Helicopter displays

But we have been offered a pitch for the club,

Right the only problem is its only 2 weeks away and we need to confirm numbers asap. as space is limited these will goto full paid up Members first.

if we dont fill the space then i will offer to others

    Okay heres details

    http://www.pageantofpower.com/

Price for us with cars is, free for driver, BUT passengers will have to pay, this will cost £20 for A day or £30 for both, camping is £10 PER NIGHT or 15 for caravan. See Goodwood Prices!!!

As i say i need numbers quickly, and i would presume payment to for camping/ passengers.

if your COMING put name below and PM me your full details, name, address, with or without passenger, 1 day (sat or Sun) or both, and if camping

    Thanks Mitch

    By Mitch,

    Wainwrights celebrated walk from St Bees to Robin Hoods Bay, the purpose of which;

To pick up a pebble from the beach at St Bees and drop it in the see at Robinhoods Bay.

to walk it would take seven days but being Hoodies were driving it, So why not join us in in a more leisurely drive across country,

then drop your pebble into the North Sea at Robinhoods Bay.

Then down to Pickering to camp at the Blackbull PH.

Distance from St Bees to Robin Hoods bay,

    Most direct, 158miles

But Phuckarwe style, could be alot more!!!!!, as we take in all the lovely side roads and a few about turns. (approx 180)

Robinhoods bay to the Blackbull 25miles,

Meet part way for Group lunch,

Meals and drinks available at the Blackbull

Camping approx £8 per head, (based on 2 per tent) price being negotiated
