Welcome to RHOCaR - The UK Kit Car Club
The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable on going maintenance and modifcation) as well as to plan and organize a wide range of social events, from local area events to national events We have club stands at the National Kit Car Shows at Malvern and Newark each year, and we definitely serve the best burgers! We also have stands at many other shows throughout the year all around the country. It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members arrange regular run outs and even longer trips including the ever popular Wales and Scotland trips. The Club produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members. It is packed with news, events, articles, technical features and irreverent cartoons. The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register, we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as its all about the state of mind, not the car you drive!
Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often get a discount that is more than the membership fee itself. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a wide variety of other discounts, including discounts at Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for anyone they see is in need of help, as long as they too are a member!
So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield or a Caterham, all can benefit form joining, so what are you waiting for?

Hackers And The Like
By Mat-Moo,Well yet again I've had another of my forums hacked (not this one) and a viri added to it alongside sending an email to 250 of my users! This is just a caution, but PLEASE make sure you have a fully uptodate virus detection system running on your PC (I can highly reccomend AVG at http://www.grisoft.com which is FREE for personal use), and also if you get any emails that have .EXE files in them - delete at once unless you are 10000000% sure of what it is.
Take care!
Forum upgrade soon - In fact I've been looking at the new phpBB3 version http://communitynew.rhocar.org/phpBB2/ and other forum software to bring us uptodate (SMF IPB etc.)

Poolefest 2006
By Guest ColinR,Anyone fancy a trip to Poole for the Bank Holiday weekend? PooleFest is music centred event in Poole Park. For the last two years top of the bill was Mungo Jerry with support from some excellent local bands. I think they are there again this year.
There are other attractions there too, a small funfare, sundry trade stalls selling all sorts of stuff and, last year, Southern Hoods. Only two of us, but we generated a lot of interest with one complete and one part built car, more than the classic stand that was near us. I hope this year that we can have a bigger stand with more cars.
I can provide camping for about four tents in my garden if anyone is interested or there is no shortage of B&Bs. There is also a commercial camping site not too far away.
If you are intersted drop me a PM.
Colin
