  • Welcome to RHOCaR - The UK Kit Car Club

The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable ongoing maintenance and modification) as well as to plan and organise events throughout the year.
The Club attends the major kit car shows throughout the year providing a stand with tea and coffee, plus a BBQ with food for members. You'll be warmly received, especially if you bring more food and drink !! We also have stands at many other shows all around the country.

It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members regularly arrange run outs and longer trips to such places as Le Mans, Wales and Scotland, plus the annual club camping weekend and the traditional “end of season” get together. Keep an eye on the events section of the forum for news and details of upcoming events.

The Club also produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members, filled with all manner of things club or motoring related, and members can get their own articles published in it as well if they wish.

The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register (RHOCaR), we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as it's all about the state of mind, not the car you drive! Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often find that the discount is more than the club membership fee. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a variety of other discounts such as with Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for any other member they see is in need of help !

So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield, a Caterham, (or any of the many other types of kit car), everyone can benefit from joining, so what are you waiting for ?

    Two New Forums

    Mat-Moo
    By Mat-Moo,

With the increasing amount of chat over the lightweight, we have now opened a seperate sub-forum of the chassis section just for talk regarding the lightweight. We hope this makes it easier to organise your talks/questions. Secondly due to more and more ebay links going on, there is now a new section in the adverts for these links. The exact rules for this 3rd party links are still being discussed, but at present this area is again for RHOCaR members only posting (Viewable to everyone).

    Thames Valley End-of-year Runout.

    Guest john
    By Guest john,

    Hi All and Season's Greetings,

There is a lot of interest in the Thames Valley get - together on Saturday Dec 30th, blow away the cobwebs and get ready for the New Year, this is an outing for the wives and family too.

Meeting place. On the southbound A33, half mile south of Junction 11 on the M4, there is a BP filling station and the remains of a roadside diner.

Please rendezvous at 11.00 O'clock in their car park.

There then follows 4 short stages of follow my leader, :o ( no, not me ) :o calling at Stratfield Saye House, The Roman Wall at Calleva, on to The Vyne Country House with its woodland walk, and finishing at Longridge Mill at Sherfield on Loddon.

The route is all within a five mile radius, time to each new stop is about 10 mins, and the finish point is about 2 miles from the start.

Longridge Mill is due to be working ( making flour ) and open to viewings. It is also a Brewers Fayre eating house where we can have refreshment / lunch at about 13.00 hours before setting off to be home before dark.

At each of the 4 locations there will be a stop and chance to do photoshoots, with the club 2008 calender in mind. So bring the digital camera and set it to Hi-Res for the best images.

It would be brilliant if we could achieve pictures covering as many models of Robinhood as possible, I think we have most of them in this area.

I will be trying to work some meteorological magic again, so I look forward to seeing you on the day.

Meet at 11.00. prompt please, if late telephone 07939 062246.

Any questions please get in touch,

    Enjoy your Christmas,

    John. B) B)
