How long do you get to put things wright if you fail the Iva test

It is 6 months, you just ring the tester and they see for the next free spot. Mine failed about 4 weeks ago, going back in for the retest at Derby this Thursday as i wanted to do it whilst the weather is still ok, 6 months time will be February, cold and snowy.
