Any Zafira Drivers?

Does anyone one own a Zafira tin top? I have the 2007 '57 reg 1.8 petrol, and have just found under the carpet on the passenger side about 3" of clean water. It isn't tinged or smelly, and has no taste. It isn't from my heater matrix as I haven't lost any coolant water. The pollen filter has been checked and is bone dry. It is not the washers either.

I can only think that it has come in from the scuttle grill and for some reason not drained to the engine bay and away, but straight inside somehow. Vauxhall have not heard of this complaint. Strange though because if you google "Zafira water in foot well" there are loads of responses, all saying the above possibilties. I just cannot see where it is coming in from. The actual carpet is dry, but as it has a thick foam underlay that is thicker than 3" the water hasn't yet reached the carpet.

I have removed all the bungs on the car floorpan, and as we have some more dry days to come I'll leave them out. I reckon I let out about 2 litres today!

Has anyone else suffered this in their Zafi?

Does it have AC could be the drain from the cooler.

It does, but 2 litres of condensed water is going some! I don't think its been there long as the water is so clean.

I have the same problem in my tin top with the aircon, on a trip to devon 180 miles, I got easy 2 inches in the passenger footwell.

Another posiliblity is the adhesive on the windscreen is breaking down and you have a leak, easy test with a hosepipe.

I have a picasso (spit) that seems to garther moister from the air, even the slightest breath gathers on the windscreen and runs down. Its starting to make me think there must be water in there somewhere but we have cubby holes in the floor and theres no water in there.

I once had a car where the rear window used to creep down very slightly over time, not enough to notice but would let rain in at the right angle which would then make the back seat wet, only found out what it was after using a pressure washer :search:

We/ I really want a Zafira VXR the picasso's a heap of cr@p.
