Yep thats more damaging than any track day..with the wif and kids taking it in turn to abuse it

my mates S7 cracked in less than 3k just in front of the bulkhead, he had it tig welded.

 

mine was already repaired when i bought it.

I have been running a Series 3 since 1997, I have done 13,000 miles and no sign of any cracks yet, I have not strengthened any of the suspect areas.

 

I must not be driving it hard enough!

Other side has slight crack in the weld but i think its down to total abuse.. even dented the bumper bar ...and another sump...( now well sorted )
