Core Plugs

Has anyone ever replaced any of the core plugs on their pinto? How easy of a job is it to do?

I've got a small water leak out of one of mine, and i'm wondering if it is something i should attempt, or just leave it untill it loses more coolant?

Haynes says "Knock out the old plugs with a hammer and chisel or punch. Clean the plug seats, smear the new plugs with sealant and tap them squarely into position."

What does that translate to?

i did mine last year - big screwdriver or similar - whack it through the plug - WITHOUT GOING TOO FAR!

tap it around to loosen it then flip it out - clean the hole in the block with fine wet n dry carefully not getting any bits in't hole in't engine the plug will be tight to refit - use a big socket to drive home - it may be tight - there is some sealer you can use - cant remember the name
