Dohc Flywheel

Hello all,

 

I'm in the process of breaking apart a 2L DOHC Injection Sierra ready for building a 2B (or maybe the 'new hood'?). After taking the engine out and removing the clutch I have found radial surface cracks in the flywheel along with heat marks (no mechanical scoring though). I've attached a pic, can this be used or will I have to source another?

 

 

I live in Belper, Derbyshire and would be keen to meet anyone from the area, I have seen a red 2B around.

I agree with Nigel - bin it - you don't want that failing at 6000rpm.

Jimlad71 is about to chuck a DOHC engine in Birmingham. See the for sale section. He may still have the flywheel and he's not too far from you.

I have a DOHC sitting going rusty. You are welcome to the flywheel etc.

Planning to be a Donnington to pick up a diff.
