Quiet Gravy

One of the kids commented the other night that we had quiet gravy again tonight.

When we enquired further he said "it's the gravy mum makes when she want's a quiet evening."

This gravey requires onions, garlic, stock and the quiet ingredient, 500mls of red wine.

That reminds me of the tight tea we used to have. Daughter had been down to stay with her Nan who has loose tea. Kids notice everything!!!! They may not say at the time but it all goes into the memory banks.

i always thought it was the chef that got to finish off the bottle??? well i do in our house when i do the cooking.

so if tim does the gravy and lets you drink the wine you are spoilt.

One dish i do on occasions is pork in cider and cream, needs about half a litre but i always buy 2 litres, this dish comes with a side order of pickled chef
