How have people fitted the press studs to the body of there cars? Self tappers, bolts, glue, rivets?

The metal parts of the car are not to much of a problem but i feel that i may have to use several methods, my main area of concern is however is the fibre glass rear wings on my series 3a, the top curve is mainly unsupported without any metal behind where the studs will be fitted.

Ideas please.

In the rear wing fiberglass of my exmo I used stainless 3mm pop rivets with a dab of sikaflex to keep out water penetration from behind.

Fitted in 1997 and still going strong.

I used 3mm rivets withs washers on the back side of the grp. Never had a problem while I had the car.
