The result of over lightning a flywheel.

I did post a while back on lightning the standard cast Sierra flywheel but now have a light steel one.

This made me wince, if it was in a seven........ Ouch.

now i understand why the guy who did my engine cracktested it first

note to self....... next time i get asked to lighten a fly wheel run like hell.

The instuctions in "how to power tune pinto. etc." show how you can lighten the standard one but i would only takeoff the outer weight behind the starter ring and dowl it to the crank. I certainly would not remove any from the mounting face area.

Now looking for a couple of old Flak jackets at work.
