New Part

Hi...

 

I stripped down my 2.0 std carb engine last week to do a basic overhaul and have come across a part I have no idea where it came from. The area was clear before I started and it was found lying on the floor when I was stripping the block down ( had just took the head off) . Hopefully someone can enlighten me as to where its come from.

It looks like a fuel pump pushrod but I may be wrong

Difficult to gauge the size but it could be the pushrod for the fuel pump.

The fuel pump push rod that I have has a clip round the middle and is longer one side than the other. Half goes into the engine and the other goes into the pump. Thats the normal pinto push rod isnt it? This is a different part to that.

doh !!!! Im thinking of the oil pump. It will be off the fuel pump.
