Alternator Wiring

On the back of my alternator is a signle 3 pin (2 red 1 blue) plug connector (plugged in of course). Is this all there is? Got a niggle that I should have something else connected to it.

Snap mine is just the same 2 red 1 blue for the ign light . all works ok as long as the plug stays in as i have lost the plug retainer spring clip oops . The body is the ground connection .

Some early carbed cars had an electric autochoke and there was an extra wire, blue/white, linking alternator and choke. Otherwise you're describing the standard Ford/Lucas alternator connector.
