Hood

Hi guys, do you need a tool to fit in stud fastenings on a fabric hood, have seen stud fastenings on ebay but no instuctions on how to fix, any ideas, thanks Ian.

I bought a kit from the local camping shop, cost about £8 including extra poppers

Hi Ian , try this ebay item 8267180437. He does stainless poppers aswell .

I didn't - Ball pein hammer into a block of wood for a dent to cradle the head of the popper. Hit it hard with a philips screwdrive to splay the insides and then knock down with a big blunt nail. seems to wok fine.

No problems so far.

 

Will do it the same way with the surrey and half doors.

there are two main types of fixings, a press fit method, and a hammer method. The best way as per usual robin hood is to hit it as hard as you can. See if you can find a hammer fit type and hit them! If you struggle to understand what i am on about send me a message and i'l post up some pictures.
