Fiting Rear Shocks

I watched the video and it states that the tube needs shorting as far as possible to fit the shocks, but when I temporary fitted the shocks they were only short of being fully open by 1/2 inch with no cutting

Leave the tube as it is. I would also consider not pushing the coilover tube as far up into the roll over tube. That way the susoension will have some droop if as you say the shocker is almost at full extension as it is.

Currently fitting the rear coilover, do I need to shorten the tube going into the rool bar

You will also find out that somewhere else it tells you that with the new chassis you dont have to cut so if you can fit i suggest you dont cut.

On my 2B plus the ends of the roll bars were left at different lengths. So I had to do something. With the Zeemer rear coilovers I needed to cut the tubes away almost at the top weld to get the car to sit anywhere near its ride height. --using the RH supplied ( up the tube) mounts.

Alan Saunders shortened them slightly and then throwing away the Rh supplied fixing made an insert and put the bolt through the tube and the suspension eye.

So it all depends on the final ride height and which shocks..
