Unbelievable Bargain

I priced up some lights for my Dad's model A today, and was going to order them from one of the mail order companies that service our little industry (mentioning no names), but I thought I'd pop into my local Camping / Caravan place first on the off chance they might have what I was looking for - To my surprise they did, and I couldn't believe the price difference.....

 

Fog light - £10.58 (Mail order) - £6.99 (camping shop)

 

Reverse light - £10.58 (Mail order) - £6.99 (camping shop)

 

Number plate light - £8.81 (Mail order) - £4.99 (camping shop)

 

17Amp Cable - £ 1.04 per mtr (Mail order) - £0.15 per mtr (camping shop)

 

This is the best one.....

 

Interior Courtesy light - £17.89 each (Mail order) - £2.00 each !!!! (camping shop)

 

Admittedly the last one was a special offer, but the normal price was still only £6 - that's a third cheaper than the mail order company, and these were IDENTICAL like-for-like products. It's just crazy - how can a 'large' mail order company with presumably big buying power justify charging over 50% more in most cases than a small family run camping shop???

I got replacement lenses for mine from a camping shop too... yes they were e marked.
