Rover 2.0 T Series Non Turbo

Hi

 

Just after a few thoughts? I have a superspec with the factory fitted rover engine and am still in the 'runing it in period' 320 miles and counting. After reading a few threads on the forum although the engines are classed as new it appears they are about ten years old.

In the light of not knowing the history of these engines ie how they were stored and the exact age, what are the thoughts out there on changing the cam belt.

Swap it, it's cheap insurance and you'll only regret it if it fails. Swap the belt and tensioners and then it's good for 40k miles.
