Got this CD from a friend who *ahem* got it from E-bay, its a collection of info about all ford cars post 93 (and the 91 escort range)

so includes DOHC, duratec, zetec and cossie (etc.) engines

 

don't want raise anyone's expectations but i think this is the workshop manual ford garages use

 

seen as you lot have been so helpful of late

 

will copy the cd for anyone who wants it

 

all you do is install it on your PC, it takes a bit of navigating but the workshop manual includes descriptions with diagrams of a huge number of repairs assembly/dissassembly processes

 

interestingly the 'technical service bulletins' give all the snags that ford reports about their own cars,

 

anyways this is the help overview of the product:-

The Technical Information System (TIS) provides Technical Service Information via CD-ROM. It is updated on a regular basis (usually every two months) and gives access to the most up-to-date automotive service information. It includes publications such as Workshop Manuals, Wiring Diagrams, Technical Service Bulletins, Service and PDI Checksheets, as well as access to the Online Automotive Service Information System (OASIS).

 

TIS virtually eliminates the need for time consuming updates of paper based manuals.

 

What is TIS

 

Outlines what TIS is and how it fits into the Service Bay Products family.

 

TIS Basics

 

Describes the basic functions and operation of Windows 95/98 and TIS. It is recommended that time should be taken to read this Topic to assist in understanding TIS and its functions.

 

Workshop Manuals

 

Describes how to access and use the Workshop Manual information contained in TIS. The Workshop Manuals for each vehicle can be viewed by Section or by Labour Operation Codes.

 

Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs)

 

Describes how to access and use the TSBs contained in TIS. Technical Service Bulletins can be searched using a wide variety of criteria.

 

Vehicle System Testing Manuals (VSTMs)

 

Describes how to access and use the VSTMs contained in TIS. The VSTM information is listed by Workshop Manual Section.

 

Wiring Diagrams

 

Describes how to access and use the Wiring Diagrams contained in TIS and to display the relevant components and connector details. Wiring Diagrams are listed by vehicle

 

GSEVIN User Guide

This User Guide explains how to access and use the GSEVIN database. Section 2.0 (Dealership Security) also details the actions required in Ford dealerships to maintain GSEVIN security.

 

OASIS

 

Describes the procedures for connecting to the Ford OASIS system using TIS. OASIS allows access to a variety of up-to-date Vehicle Information don't think the last two will work

just bumping this thread, hadn't forgotten about the disk, the first batch seemed to not work, sure its do'able, just got to get my IT head on and work out how to do a straight disk copy
