I All,

I had to but a couple of tyres for the tintop yesterday and after a chat with the sales team, they drcted me back to the Toyo T1R's,

wasnt really bothered about having the directional tread but he convinced me these were the best, (we all know the Toyo tyres are great for the hoods).

I had a quick loook for the price of the hood tyre whilst on there site, and Toyo Proxies are now down to £30 each, so any one looking for tyres try camskill

The price for the tyres were the cheapest i could find,

worth a look if your needing tyres for new season

I wanted a pair of tyres for the tin top last week so looked at:

http://www.tyre-shopper.co.uk/

£107 fitted at National Tyres. Phoned the same branch and asked for their price for the same tyre £140 they said ! When I was going to hang up they asked if I'd got any prices elsewhere so I told them and they immediately agreed to honour the Tyre-Shopper price.

Well I'd rather the £33 diffence in my pocket not theirs.

I have noticed that most tyre companies will drop there prices a lot when you query them. I went into ATS for a back box on my tin top. they said they ordered th wrong part and the new far was gonna be 180, I told them to put the old one back on the car. they then decided to do the same part for 100.

They are good prices, just put the 4X4 size in and £114 for a pair plus carrige 122 all in.

Best price I can get in Lincoln is 88.00 each and thats at trade.

salesman said when i phoned, they only make £3 per tyre, and will not get in a bartering mode, my OE tyres are michelins but at nearly £100 a corner, toyos at 50 mke a far better choice,

he did say Michelin have just had a 14% price increase, seems stupid at this time,
