Road Tax Security

I am in the process of registering my new Superspec and am looking forward to getting it on the road. Has anyone had any problems with road tax discs being removed (stolen) from parked Hoods? If so, is there a recommended secure tax disc holder?

We have a motorcycle tax disc holder, one that is bolted together.

As you can see it is bolted to the screen pillar.

You need an allen key and spanner to remove.

Still stealable but fairly secure.

Thanks, guys, that seems unanimous.

I know of one owner who refuses to put one on his car. He insists instead that its kept in the mrs's handbag :D

Same here bike type. I worry more about pay and display tickets try to see the vulture ( warden ) if about and get them to see it in car in case the wind or someone takes it

I normally take a pic of it with the camera on my phone. to prove it was there when I left

I use the motorcycle one for the tax disc, but I've bought a 'magnetic' tax disc holder for parking tickets.

This is a thin magnetic ring which sticks to the windscreen and there is a thin metalised cover which attaches to it.

Slide the cover off, pop the parking ticket inside and re-attach the cover.

Not perfect but stops the ticket blowing away and is not quite so obvious to the opportunist.

I usually take a picture of parking ticket on car with phone & another close up showing ticket in same spot with date.....
