With such a vast talent base to draw from, you'd have thought they'd be keen to show off what they can do rather than pinching everyone else's ideas?

Nobody in China wants to drive a Chinese car... they don't trust them

 

I suspect they copy the western cars to a degree to give their buyers some kind of unconscious confidence boost (looks the same must be the same....)
