Dashboard Gauges

Hi All,

I have permission from she who must be obeyed, to change from the supplied instrument binnacle pod with the SuperSpec to another variant, (separate gauges aka ETB style), as posted in a previous post elsewhere.

Looking around at the cost of the gauges plus senders, and the ETB Digi-Dash (DDL), the Digidash works out slightly better. Problem is, I like both options - so does the wife!!

So the question is, what are the pros and or cons of separate gauges versus the all in one Digidash?

How easy is it to switch between functions on the Digidash, ease of reading while on the road, that sort of thing. Is it IVA compliant?

Any pointers, good or bad, welcome.

Thanks in advance

Al

Hi to me it's a simple choice ETB analogue clocks , easier to read ,arguably better looking , and if one goe's down it's one to replace not the whole unit, but may be I'm old fashioned ? . Basicaly you make a choice and live with it or rebuild the dash again using money that could be spent on petrol or beer ! or other enjoyables regards mowerman

Personally I like the seaparate clocks - but I used a mixture of small gauges and a Vapor digital dash.

The ETB clocks are very good and the set comes with all the senders. However the cheaper set has a mechanical speedo which is not as easy/convenient to set up as an electronic unit

Comes down to personal preference in the end.

I'd get a set of Capri clocks and fit a cover, then they look like 6 seperate dials!

Actually I have got a set, just came under orders to stop 'fiddling' and 'use it or lose it' :D

so haven't changed!!
