Disc Handbrake Cable ?

I have just swapped my drum back end to disc all went to plan until i got to the handbrake cable, the inner is over a foot longer from the equilzer plate to the handbrake mount. Anyone got any ideas.

I thought they would be the same

Hi Dan just cut it to the length u want drill the nipple out !! fit back on cable and put a blob ov mig weld onthe exposed end job done . Mines been done 5 years now no problem .

I just chopped mine in half and crossed the two ends over the quadrant and clamped them together using 4 small cable clamps from a DIY store.

Mine passed SVA using them Jon (admittedly 2002 and things have changed since then) and the tester even commented that it was a good way of shortening the cable

Yep, I just cut and clamped, never been a problem and passed SVA

Yes they are the ones. The B&Q ones are in mild steel and about the same price so even with P&P they are not a bad price if buying more than one pair.
