Bought the above from machine mart yesterday to set up my cam timing and took it back today, the book describes it as a "powerful magnetic base" it was as weak as you like it could barely hold its own weight even the shop agreed it was pants tried 2 others in the shop all the same machine mart refunded it no problem which is unusual for them

mines here if you want to borrow it Dan. It's a proper one, twin arm with thumb wheel fine adjust. Oh, and it sticks too.... Very well. Lol.

Strange. I got one at Stoneleigh last year to do my new cam/pulley, it was only about 15 notes. It sticks like sh1t as long as you get most of the base in contact with something ferrous. Bri
