Hi Chaps

Got a pinto Efi adding in the wiring for the cooling system. I would like a Automatic Fan Switch and a normal tempreture gagage. As my car came in bits and no trace of either. i was wondering what you guys have done.

Many Thanks

Sender for gauge is in the block in front and below the inlet manifold. There are a couple of different ways to control the fan. You can buy a complete unit from GBS to control fan for about £30. A termoststic switch is required.

What type of radiator do you have fitted? Some have a threaded hole for a thermo-fan switch.

No holes for the Thermo-fan switch in the rad. I think its standard 2b kit Rad.

Cheers for all the feedback guys ! will look into your comments. Now whats next on the long list !!

this is a typical set up for a fan switch (got this one at a show)

BTW if you are fitting the fan in front of the rad then a Peugeot/Citroen one is about as good as they come and there are lots in scrap yards most have 2 fans and a relay in one plastic molding I got mine for £10 and had a spare fan

Minw is similar with a switch and hosusing from cbs in the top hose, this was used to swtich earth to a relay driving the fan from the ignition live circuit in the fuse box. You could wire that permanently from the battery if you wish.
