Afternoon All,

Got the news today that we have been waiting for which makes us nervous and excited at the same time... IVA has been booked for May 11th at 8:30am at nottingham

going to take the car for tracking/tuning etc on Friday and then its just a matter of making sure we have done all that we can to get the car through the IVA.

All going well and no problems then the car may even be IVA'd and ready for my birthday on the 17th May (I can only hope)

Ive noticed a couple of people taking their test at Nottingham lately and getting a pass so hopefully thats good news!

Just wanted to share that with everyone :)

Road legal today. Martin the tester a Nottingham was great. Mine failed first time, but Martin told me how to change things to get the pass. This was great feedback, he should get an award as he was really intrested in my build and very positive giving lots of praise.

The retest was a dream, no issues at all.

David.

Hope you get a first time pass.

The application was sent off on about the 11th of April and we got the confirmation of the date today. But don't forget there have been a couple of bank holidays since then.

Cheers Graham

Not much longer now until the big day. I have created my own check list by going through the Iva manual and taking out as many of the points that I can and putting them in one big list of things to check for Iva compliancy. Hopefully this will give Me a good chance of passing the Iva.

Fingers crossed

Hi Dean,

Just had a browse through your latest pics mate, looks really nice. :good:

Have you got 2 sets of side repeaters for the indicators? i.e... a pair on

the side below the scuttle and a pair on the cycle wings?

If so, remove the pair on the side below the scuttle mate, it will fail on it,

100% guaranteed Dean.

Best of luck for your test, :hi:

Nick.

Yeah I have got two sets of side repeaters.

And I realised after reading the Iva book today they gotta go.

Cheers for the advice though. Always good to get little tips like that before the Iva.

I will take em off at the weekend and then re-fit them after Iva if we still want them on.

Ensure the holes and wiring are gone.... the testers have eagle vision Dean.

Stick some mesh over the holes from the inside mate, they'll look like vents

best of luck on the test

nice car, really like the dash & tunnel

The dash was from GBS and the tunnel is covered in a red leather material picked up from a fabric shop.

The chrome between the handbrake and gearstick was from GBS also.

The leather covers over the handbrake and gearstick are due to be replaced by something that my mum has made which will make it look a lot neater.

Cheers for the support. :hi:
