Fan Switches?

Posting binge continues with the next victims being electrics wizkids who are going to be quized? Lol

Ok so we have a emerald ecu with a fan output to the fan but also want a fan switch on the dash.

Now I have both working independently. As in the one from the ecu works when the wire is connected to the fan. And the one from the switch on the dash works when connected to the fan.

The question is how do I get them both connected and working from 2 different sources? Would I need a relay with 2 inputs or is there another way?

Many thanks as always.

Joe

Not sure why you would want to take control out of the hands of the emerald.

You can adjust the fan control temperature in software and it looks after itself.

However if you still prefer an override, the emerald provides an earth to the fan relay to switch it on, therefore simply provide a switched earth to the fan relay terminal that goes to pin6 of the emerald. As in philshelton dia.
