Just come to fit alternator from donor 1.8 CVH to my 2ltr pinto guess what wrong hand doesn't fit,what size alternator do I need have spoken to local re-conditioners but they only swap like for like unless you state what you require.

Can't you undo the bolts holding the case together and twist the casing round to make it fit. That's what I ended up doing when I got the wrong one (I think it was off a fiesta).

I've got one off a little Suzuki something on my 2B - had to make another bracket to fit it to the block but now it's well clear of the steering column.
