S7 Cortina Tie Bar

Hi guys having to change the bushes on the tie bars does anyone know the size of the big nut holding the bush on. all the spanners I have are either too small or too big.

27mm IIRC just bought one to do the Beauford ones.

If you get stuck mail me and I could post it for you,usuall T&C.

Need it back obviously.

Yeah the tie bar nuts are 27mm but they may be like mine a tight 27 I ended up modifying the spanner with a file to get it to fit on the nut properly

Maybe it's an Olde English 3/4 UNF thread on the old cortina bits. Were they made before Ford went metric?

Thanks guys for the replies ive got them apart just waiting for the bushes to arrive today to get them fitted then its off for an MOT.

they are 27mm.

wish I could the bloody bushes never turned up yesterday hopefully today
