Pinto 1600

1600 Pinto, this is the engine that shunted me 3500 mile round europe last summer, so its obviously not a complete basket case! No ancillaries and needs sump gasket (old short sump removed) and rocker cover gasket, possibly cover too, cant remember. Upgraded the hood to 5.7 Chevy big block V8. Bit of a squeeze but its in there now.

 

Anyway if you want it, come on down! Please!

eh! ????? They didn't make a 1600 EFI, as far as i know.

Tak, you need to find a cylinder head with a stamp by plug four of M,MM,N,or NN. They are the unleaded head stamps for the 1600.

My Mate has an Escort Cabriolet on a J plate with a 1600 EFI engine in it so they definitely did them... don't know if it would fit in a RH though, the model might be too late....

oops seems i said i'd look then forgot all about it! Had a look now, and unfortunatley, its not.
