Ignition Amplifier

Hi guys

My amplifier has a fault that was picked up on the rolling road set up.

 

It is causing a miss fire and I want to replace in case it happens at the iva and causes an emissions fail.

 

I have done the usual eBay and Internet searches bu can't find one with the same part number.

 

Mine is a motor craft and the numbers on top are 83bb12a199 83a    095078. It is the inductive system one with 6 wires. I am running a 2.0 pinto on bike carbs.

 

Any ideas or are they all the same?

Or if anyone is running this system, can i have the part number off your motorcraft amplifier to check against the ones on offer.

I'm running the same ignition system Steve, and the number is nearly the same as yours (where you have 83A mine has B3A... or is it a typo?)

Thanks, yep, bit of a typo. Thanks. Was starting to think I was the only one in the world who had this. Think i have found someone who can supply these so fingers crossed.

Holdings on the bristol road south have one of these in stock brand new, it was £50 something mate.

You should come the the club meet. The Toby Carvery ( malt shovel) just off the m42 on the opposite side to the airport. No idea of the address, but pm me your number and I can give directions.

 

Gaz and the local guys are brilliant. Always a good number of people turn up and loads of nice cars, with a few of us still building.
