Zetec Water Temp Max

I am setting up my KOSO digital speedo and cant seem to find what the max water temp is fo the max water temp. Has anyone got any ideas?

By max do you mean abs max or ideal running temp ? ---mower man

MMMMMM......the thermostat opens at 110 according to the ECU. I want to input the temp so when the car over heats then "red light" comes on. Just like when your temp needle goes in the red.

I dont think a stat opening at 110 would be any good!figures are usually 85 95 range [ centigrade of course] mower man

Why do you think its so hight then? When the stat opens it does drop down to about 85.

Do you have a small bypass hole in the thermostat?

 

Usually needed if you don't haver a heater matrix.

I have got the "Retro Ford" water rail which has another outlet which I have blocked off as I haven't got a header tank.

sorry to jump in but what is operating temp of a 2.0 zetec .put mine togerther and run it and never gets above 85c is that ok

I think its about 85c just like yours. Do you know what the temp would be for your gauge to read red?

i have smiths guages no red on them

Driving mine back from Hollowell (wimped out of the mud!), my new Zetec was stable at 90 all the way home.
