Boot & Boot Lid

Recommended Posts

With the not too cold weather over Christmas, managed to get out into the gargae and do a bit of work on the 2B.

Finished covering the boot lid and side covers, very pleased with the result, has given me new enthusiasm to get working on it again.

Happy New Year to everyone

John

That looks good, what materials have you used, I have been making some mock-ups today in 6mm ply which is all I have in the garage at the minute. I don't want to make it too heavy but 6mm is a bit thin I think.

Edit: just found it on your excellent build blog.

Here's my version I made today, still needs some more work but you can get the idea. Got thick yellow plastic(to match fibreglass) from ebay, hinges from car booty and steel left over from another job. Made a cardboard template to shape the plastic, easy to work with. What do you think?
