Dohc Cams

Hi I have a sierra dohc and I know it's not a very liked engine but are there any fast road cams I can buy for it, or any other mods I can do to the engine it's efi

Quick search of catcams, newman, burtons, kent, piper says no. Some for DOHC 16 valve are available.

No reason why this engine shouldn't respond to improved induction, improved exhaust and head work but the lack of aftermarket tuning goodies for this engine tells you something.

The problem is the dohc was an economy engine and didn't lend itself to tuning and with Fords injection and ecu there was no point in changing the camshafts without changing the whole system. So AFAIK no one ever developed upgraded cams.

Best way to upgrade is to fit the 16v head , as did Les Wilsher (member). I think he documented it all....I never found any upgrades that made sense while fitted to my 2B. It was quite a handful as it was...
