Handbrake Assembly

Hi can anyone help I am fitting a Handbrake Assembly to my 2B I am trying to narrow the handbrake cables to fit inside the tunnel.

I have crossed the cables over using a double pulley would this be OK with the IVA test, see pick.

Would it be better to fit Fuel and Brake lines on top of the centre chassis members or on the floor pan to avoid the Handbrake Assembly bearing in mind the IVA test, see pick.

Regards Ken

Think you would be better to leave out the double pulley -- it looks like the cables could be rubbing when operated. How about the cables straight back to each outer & if fouling anywhere move the outer mounts closer together.

i put my hand brake on top of the tubes and used the D shaped cable clamp that came from the doner, i over lapped the cables then used u shaped cable clamps to hold them together( the hand brake on top of the tubes make a good arm rest)

I did the same as Peter..it leaves the tunnel free for fuel & brake pipes.

Fit the handbrake cable outers closer together on the angle & run the inner direct to the half moon joiner above the twin chassi tubes.

Fit tube spacers to lift the handbrake lever & make it horizontal when off .
