Buying Spare Parts

If it was simple Alan, it wouldn't be so frustrating, err I mean fun!!

I think, on the Rover engined Superspec at least, the steering rack was from an Escort and the column was either Mk 1 Mondeo or Mk 1 Focus, (both were pretty much the same part).

The Rover ECU was modified by Avon Diagnostics for RH - one mod. was the immobilise circuit and some of the others include disconnecting some of the gubbins ( charcoal filter and such like), the RH wasn't going to need.

For spares I use Rimmer Bros.

Latest situation on the ECU. Had a chat with Richard Stewart today and he confirmed all the Superspec ECUs were sent away to be modified. So I would have to send mine away. However, I have found a chap on the RoverTech forum who produces a special module programmed to fool the immobiliser and make the ECU compatible with the Superspec.

So at £10 for the ECU and £60 for the module I should have a full working spare ECU.

Happy bunny :)
