I think my fuel pump has seized!

Do I just buy another mechanical one? Or bite the bullet and buy a facet pump.

I am running a 2L Pinto with a cam and twin 40's.

Killed the battery again trying to start it! Have spent more money on batteries than I care to mention.

You say a switch. Could I not wire in a switched live from the ignition? Or do I need a kill switch as well?

Hi Drew....sorry I .havnt been in touch....laid up with flu...

I'll call next week.

You need an inertia cut off switch to turn off the pump in a crash.

Dont want to be sat in it with fuel pumping out everywhere...!

Cheap enough on Ebay about £18.

Squirt fuel into all 4 throats (Fairy bottle works well)

If the electrics are AOK it wil fire & run briefly.

If not theres a sparks problem...should be easy enough to fix with the points system I fitted

I assume its still the same setup?

BTW it had a FR32 & a stage 2 head, bigger inlet valves, ports re-radiused & polished.

If its been laid up for a while I'd go back to basics & check everything.

Plugs, HT leads, dizzy cap, rotor arm, condensor, points & the LT side.

Did you put oil into the bores? Does it still have compression in all 4?

Bob
