Carb Gauzes + Bike Can

As the title, I've got a pair of 45 dcoe's with very little space between the trumpet and chassis - was hoping for a nice shiny k&n but room does not allow!

 

Also, I'm in the market for an exhaust can, I've settled on the idea of a bike can for the sleek and subtle look.

Can you fit trumpet socks on the carbs, thats what I did.They were about 50 quid for a set of four. Plenty of bike cans on ebay, something like a fireblade should suffice I would have thought as they are designed to flow a lot more gas than a car engine. I got one to put on a pinto engined sylva sometime in the future, think I paid about thirty quid for it.
