Fighting Me Every Inch Of The Way

You saw the thread on cracked rear tub which I fixed but had to destroy the boot space lining in the process well I fixed that then fitted the new rear numberplate with bolt lights to illuminate and red projector Zled bolts for a suplimentary brake light, proud of my efforts I decided to swap out the Toyo CF1's for a set of Dunlop DO1j's 185 to 195. I took the opportunity to clean up the inner rims as the fronts went soft in a few days.

Tyred look great on the Minilites but don't fit under the front arches "arggg" spent most of Thursday trying to find a solution using the Robin Hood wing stays in the end a simple metal plate using the bolt holes in the stays and bolts on the wings lifted the rear edge 5mm, a bit of fettling adjusted the position centrally over the tyres and I'm on to the next thing.

Chatham Docks show on Sunday so wish me luck tomorrow test the beast.

Not going to fit the new engine until after the show.

I will keep my eyes open for you. Been in past years and had a good time.

Recommend to all it is well worth a visit if you have nothing planned.

And it wins

Temp was high in the first few miles then peaked at 120 that's when I pulled over and gave up

It's probably a sticking thermostat as all other guages display as expected

Gutted or what, I even paid the Dartford toll both ways

Ill fit the newly rebuilt engine now and flush the radiator while I'm at it.

I will check the thermostat in a pan of water to confirm its that

Already have a new header tank and oil catch tank to fit
