Inductive, ESC or ESC2 on a pinto are fine to use but each has its own dedicated distributor and electronic module. Removal requires you to buy a replacement electronic dizzy which will probably simply need a 12v supply and earth. Many versions like H&H, accuspark, powerspark available.

ESC Hybrid on a 1.8CVH is much more complicated.

Thanks Nigel I. Had every intention of buying a new distributor anyway ,but it threw me when I checked the dissy and saw that there was no points then I found the esc box ,I love my little car but it is testing my patience I thought kids were bad enough

Id always go Aldon ignitor 2 with matching flame thrower coil. A fantastic system thats proven to work. They also sell good quality ignition leads too, but in honesty you can find cheaper.
