My bonnet is the old lift off type. I'm finding that when trying to secure it with the standard iva bonnet catches it wants to spring off - not a great look I'm sure all will agree.

Did anyone have an IVA compliant  method of securing this type of bonnet? I'm thinking of fabricating some kind of brackets, and then bolting through, but I wanted to find if anyone has any good ideas before I commit

Mine has three dowels along one of the long edges, these give enough stability for the four bonnet catches to do the job

Hi Smig, dunno if you'll get this - do you perchance have a photo of how you set this up?

I didn’t do the build, but the dowels look like the ‘bonnet pins’ you can buy on the GBS Kit Spares site, £15 for a set. Hope that helps, Smig (Simon)

Magic, thanks so much really useful. My bonnet has very little space on teh flange to do this, but I'm sure I can make it work. Have ordered a set of pins👍
