Pinto - No spark

Featured Replies

Hi. I've got a 2.0 Pinto in my Robin Hood. The car has had the original loom ripped out as it was butchered, and I am rewiring. It has an electronic ignition module fitted (make unknown, and the vac pipe blanked on the dizzy. It has the original Motorcraft ignition module. Regardless of what I do (having followed various wiring diagrams to check I have the wires correct, I cannot get a spark. I have 12v at the coil but yet no spark on cranking. Any ideas?

Donor car was a 1985 Sierra GL if that makes a difference?

Thanks in advance

I'm no electrian but why 2 ignition modules? If you have the dizzy with the 2 wire round plug I'd just connect up the ford module as it was originally.
