Crankcase breather

Hi I a  my fitting twin Webber 45s on my 2.0 DOHC at the moment the crankcase breather vents back into the inlet manifold . With the new manifold I don’t have this option will it be ok venting the breather to atmosphere with a filter on the end?

I did that on my Zetec and it was fine. The only problem was that I was getting a fine mist of oil in the engine bay over time. So I added an oil catch tank - details in my blog here:

There will be more knowledgeable people but if the dohc engine is the same as the sohc engine, the vacuum from the manifold activates a one way valve in the crankcase breather. If you want to vent to the outside instead then this valve needs to be removed first otherwise you will build up crankcase pressure causing leak issues or more.
