I did a search on the net and £199 seems to be the price everyone is charging.

I found about ten sites selling them.

The best price was on an American site $197 for clamshell wings or $247 for cycle wings.

I come bearing bad news!

Spoke to C&B Models in Derby this morning – and they have had confirmation from Tamiya Japan that the ‘cycle fender special’ is no longer available (it hasn’t been re-released at all!) – and they have no plans to do so. Why, I asked, is it then still listed in the latest Tamiya catalogue? “Tamiya do that occasionally” was their reply! The only models available therefore are the green swept wing or the JPE racing versions. If you really would like the cycle wing version, I can only suggest you hunt the ‘www’ or E Bay as they appear occasionally…..

yep - was C&B Models - the only decent model shop I know round Derbyshire!

 

I have continued searching the www for the cycle wing version (don't know why as I have two now!) - and unfortunately no one else seems to have any left.

But, if anyone does really want a cycle wing special, I am prepared to offer my second one (which is on it's way from Hong Kong as we speak) to anyone on the Forum. Price - £250 plus P&P - otherwise it'll go on E Bay or offered to the Catering Van crowd. The amount they spend on their cars, I should ask them for double! May seem a lot, but this could well be the last one in existence!
