i thought id do a search on the net to find out just how many ACTIVE kit car manufacturers there were in britain

 

i was gob smacked i found 93

 

i had no idea the kit industry was that varied,im sure i may have missed some too,so id guess over a 100

 

so i thought id search some more WORLDWIDE and no other country comes anywhere near even a quarter of that

 

i cant understand why,but it maybe a british thing,but it made me proud to live in britain

I think there may be some laws or restrictions in Europe that make it difficult to have a kit car industry

 

This Dutch guy couldn't get a 7 style car so built his own from scratch.

I loved the chassis pictures

Have a look at the price of the Donkervoort then you see why there are so few there is even a luxury-tax on them. Your right Andy it is good to live in britain. Well for some things

When i stopped over in France after LeMans last year, i got a lot of enquiries about the car from French, Germans & Dutch, who all would like to build a car, but told me that getting them registered was a nightmare if not downright impossible.

100 or more kit car companys thats unbelievable,

might have something to do with the ENGLISH being ripped off when it comes to car prices in general :gdit: (always more than the rest of europe)

ENGLISH pride, to try and make something better and more affordable

and most of all FUN

you germans and french just dont understand
