Try whacking the starter with a piece of wood ...my celonoid sticks same sort of noise .. works for me ...and cheep.....keep the wood in the back of the car

for how long micky, iether overhaul it yourself or get it to your local autospark," it will catch you out " on a day when a little old lady parks four inches from your bumper and you thought that parking on a hill was a good idea

Starter motor problem solved. :D

 

The fastening bolts had dropped out.

 

Yep.

 

It was lying on the engine bay floorplate, its flange a good 10mm from the bellhousing.

 

Anybody had this happen to them?

 

I'll fit a couple of new bolts.

 

I'll be putting locktite on the little blighters this time.

 

No cruel words please.
