Light Steering

I have recently fitted tie bars and softer springs to my s3, but I have noticed that the steering has become very light, and it feels as if the wheels aren't touching the road, this gets worse the faster you go. When I fitted the tie bars I set the castor according to dave andrews, eg by making sure that the lwr wishbones where parallel to the steering track rods.

Suggestions Please.

Bob used to run with 23psi on 185*60*14 upped to 25 for track use. The steering also went light on Bob when speeds got close to 100+ but I think that was down to the front of the car lifting.

Hi Horncock if you do a search you will find lotz on this. It sounds as though you have not got enough castor angle now so try making the tie bars a bit longer, assuming you have screw in rose joints. I check mine as this:-castor if it works ok?

Peter :)

Just noticed Richard it was you who was asking last time! :D
